November 1, 2011 – Five Star Professional partnering with Delaware Today magazine, has named Kay Burkhart, a Realtor® at RE/MAX Realty Group in Rehoboth Beach, one of the few chosen recipients of the 2011 Five Star Real Estate Professional Award.

kay picThe Five Star Real Estate Agent Program identifies and showcases real estate agents in a market who provide exceptional service and overall satisfaction. This year’s award winners appear in a special section in this month’s (November) issue of Delaware Today magazine.

Offering a wide range of real estate services, Burkhart, who specializes in Southern Delaware real estate said, “I am thrilled to have been chosen as a 2011 Five Star Real Estate Professional. The Five Star Professional research team contacted clients, peers and industry experts who had experience working with a real estate agent. Real estate agents were rated according to criteria such as integrity, communication and customer service.

As part of an in-depth research process, Five Star Professional surveyed Delaware area residents who purchased a home priced at more than $150,000 within a 12-month period (January 2010 to January 2011) and 1,000 subscribers of Delaware Today. An additional 250 surveys were sent to mortgage and title companies. Delaware real estate agents were evaluated based on customer service, integrity, market knowledge, communication and negotiation skills, closing preparation, helping you find the right home, marketing the home being sold, and overall satisfaction. The final list of 2011 Delaware Five Star Real Estate Agents is a select group, representing less than 7% of real estate agents in the area.
